Alloy and Copper Partner to Enable End-to-End Digital Asset Investment Management

The partnership allows clients to manage both Copper Custody and access ClearLoop directly within Alloy, streamlining portfolio management, trading, post-trade settlement, and collateral management—all in one platform.

Berlin, London, 10 October 2024 - Alloy, a leading provider of Portfolio Management System (PMS) and Order Management System (OMS) solutions for digital assets, has announced a strategic integration with Copper. Copper is a leader in digital asset custody, collateral management, and prime services. This partnership enables institutional clients to manage their Copper accounts and ClearLoop activities directly through Alloy’s platform, enhancing both efficiency and security across the entire investment lifecycle.

At the core of Copper’s infrastructure is ClearLoop, which enables clients to manage collateral and settle trades across multiple exchanges, while mitigating counterparty risk and increasing capital efficiency. With ClearLoop integrated into Alloy’s investment management system, institutional investors can handle portfolio management, trading, post-trade settlement, and collateral movement across multiple exchanges in one single platform. This integration simplifies operations by reducing the need to navigate different tools and infrastructure while maintaining the robust security and capital efficiency that Copper provides.

A major benefit of this integration is the improved efficiency in post-trade processes, especially in settlement and collateral movement. ClearLoop, which cleared over $120 billion in notional value in August 2024, provides a true bankruptcy remote solution that is designed to eliminate counterparty risk, ensure secure custody, and significantly increase ease of settlement.

“This integration underscores Alloy’s commitment to providing an all-in-one solution for the entire digital asset investment lifecycle,” said Paul Faecks, CEO at Alloy. “By combining our PMS/OMS capabilities with Copper’s infrastructure, we enhance our platform to support every stage of the investment process with unmatched efficiency and security.”

“Integrating Copper’s infrastructure into Alloy’s platform simplifies the digital asset investment management process for our clients,” said Dmitry Tokarev, CEO at Copper. “This partnership mitigates counterparty risk while offering a secure solution that institutional investors can rely on.”

The collaboration between Alloy and Copper strengthens institutional digital asset investment management. It offers a streamlined and secure solution that optimizes the entire investment process.
